March 27, 2015 upperbucksfoot Comments Off

This is straight from my grandma

  • 2 quarts beef stock
  • 2 quarts water, add more as needed
  • 1 pound claw crab meat
  • 1½ – 2 cups potatoes cubed
  • 1 cup carrots cubed
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 cup peas
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • a few good shakes of hot sauce and worchestire sauce
  • ½ cup sherry

In stock pot, bring stock and water to a boil. Add potatoes, onion, celery, and tomatoes. When the potatoes are half done add the crab meat and carrots and sherry. Season with Old Bay or Wye River seasoning to taste, plus a the hot sauces. Add the corn and peas in the last 20 minutes of cooking.

Serve with oyster crackers or saltines.
